With a natural aptitude for working with his hands, Adam’s journey into toolmaking began when he stepped in to assist the toolroom during a staffing shortage. His keen interest and ability quickly caught the attention of his supervisors, leading to a full-time role in tool maintenance.

Over the years, Adam has forged strong relationships with experienced toolmakers, who have mentored him and deepened his understanding of tool repair and maintenance. His commitment to the craft extends beyond the workplace—he formed such a close bond with one of the toolmakers that he even offered to be a liver donor when his colleague faced health challenges. In return, his mentor has shared invaluable knowledge, preparing Adam to eventually take over his role upon retirement. Recognizing Adam’s potential, Nolato Contour has provided him with the flexibility to pursue full-time education while maintaining full-time employment.

He is currently advancing his technical expertise through the CNC Toolmaking program at St. Paul College, with aspirations to continue his education and further refine his skills.Adam’s long-term vision is not only to master his trade but also to pass on his knowledge to future generations, ensuring the continued growth and innovation of the toolmaking industry. His dedication to learning and mentorship reflects his deep commitment to the field and its future.
