Vivekanand Naikwadi’s interest in manufacturing sprouted during his formative years when he was exposed to the intricacies of machining through a family friend who owned a small machine shop. Witnessing the transformation of metal sheets into meticulously crafted components sparked Vivekanand’s curiosity and set him on a path of exploration. His curiosity evolved into a genuine passion as he delved deeper into the world of manufacturing during his academic pursuits.
Vivekanand is pursuing a PhD at Tennessee Technological University in the department of mechanical engineering and is a manager at the iMakerspace innovation Lab at the university.
Vivekanand enrolled in a specialized program in Mechanical Engineering that provided him with a solid foundation in the theoretical aspects of manufacturing. His enthusiasm flourished when he participated in hands-on projects and internships. These experiences allowed him to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, honing his practical skills in CNC machining, 3D printing and precision measurement techniques.
Vivekanand’s long-range aspirations involve contributing to advancements in manufacturing technology and processes. He also envisions himself in a leadership position, steering teams toward innovation and excellence. He is eager to continue his journey, armed with knowledge and skills necessary to make meaningful contributions to the ever-evolving landscape of manufacturing.
