Jim Finnerty has been with Wintriss Controls Group for more than 40 years and is responsible for new product development and sensor applications. He has helped metal stammers implement sensors and prevent die crashes for more than 40 years and has published numerous articles pertinent to the metalforming industry. He is also an active member of the Precision Metalforming Association, serving on multiple committees and has presented at countless PMA technical seminars, FABTECH and other conferences around the world.

For more than 40 years, the Wintriss Die Protection Clinic has been the metalforming industry's premier source for die protection and in-die sensing information and training.

Using a down-to-earth approach, Jim will cover every aspect of die protection and sensor selection for progressive, transfer, and compound dies. Whether you are an experienced die protection user or have never installed a sensor, the clinic will provide you with the information that you need to improve your stamping operation and put an end to repetitive and costly die crashes. The Die Protection Clinic's ultra-practical, application-oriented curriculum gives you the knowledge you need to start protecting your dies right away, even if you have never used sensors or die protection controls.

For experienced die protection users, this Clinic is constantly updated with new die protection applications and information on how to incorporate basic and more advanced die sensors into your tool designs and die protection controls.
