Patrick Grasso is an aspiring toolmaker with a deep-rooted passion for precision machining. Currently a senior at Kaynor, he has dedicated his high school years to mastering the art of machining, a trade that runs in his family. Inspired by his grandfather and father, both skilled toolmakers, Patrick found his calling in Precision Machining Technology (PMT) and has been refining his skills ever since.

For over a year, Patrick has been working at Braxton MFG in Watertown, CT, where he has gained hands-on experience in machining, quality control and engineering. His apprenticeship at Braxton has challenged him to meet tighter tolerances and higher surface finish requirements, pushing him to become more meticulous and precise in his craft.

Beyond his technical pursuits, Patrick is deeply committed to giving back to his community. As an active participant in the Scouts of America, he consistently contributes more than 100 volunteer hours annually, engaging in various service projects that foster leadership and community development.

In his senior year, Patrick is focused on expanding his knowledge in CNC machining and engineering software such as Mastercam, aiming to understand the full machining process. His ambition is to graduate with strong grades, continue working at Braxton, and ultimately achieve the prestigious status of an A-tier toolmaker. With a strong work ethic and a passion for his craft, Patrick is on a clear path toward a successful and fulfilling career in manufacturing.
