Troy Stucke - Wright State Lake Campus / Nidec Minster, Mechanical Engineering

Troy Stucke is a dedicated Mechanical Engineering student at Wright State University Lake Campus, currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree. His passion for engineering began during his time at Tri Star Career Compact, where he completed the two-year Engineering Technology program and discovered his enthusiasm for CAD design and mechanical systems.

Troy has been a co-op at Nidec Minster for two years, gaining hands-on experience in various engineering tasks, including updating outdated drawings, dual-dimensioning for international projects, creating casting drawings and models, generating Bills of Materials (BOMs), and calibrating precision measuring equipment. His work at Nidec has provided him with a deep understanding of the manufacturing process and the intricacies involved in producing high-quality industrial components.

Beyond his academic and professional pursuits, Troy is an Eagle Scout, the highest rank in scouting, demonstrating his leadership, commitment and dedication to community service. He has contributed numerous hours to initiatives such as assisting churches, organizing food donations, cleaning up local areas and supporting schools.

With a strong work ethic and a passion for engineering, Troy aims to establish a successful career in the field, leveraging his education and hands-on experience to contribute to the manufacturing industry. His goal is to remain in the region, where he sees ample opportunities for skilled mechanical engineers.
