Travis Denney is a tool and die apprentice working toward a career in manufacturing. He has worked hard to overcome many challenges and put in the work to make better decisions for himself, his family and his future. Travis began his career as an extrusion operator and worked in many other manufacturing positions before being given the opportunity to become a tool and die apprentice at Raybestos Powertrain. This position gave Travis the opportunity to distinguish himself as a valuable employee and set himself up for a career that would support him, his family and the future he looks forward to.

Selected for the tool and die apprenticeship, Travis has had the opportunity to learn new skills and put his abilities to the test. He enjoys the chance this apprenticeship has given him to apply himself to creative solutions and problem solving. Travis works hard to excel in all aspects of his machining apprenticeship and is excited to share his career with his father, a seasoned machinist.

Travis looks forward to the better opportunities that this apprenticeship and his future career will give him. He plans to use his career to provide for his family with the goal of purchasing a new home. He is also dedicated to contributing to the metalforming community and looks forward to passing his skills down to other apprentices and supporting other manufacturers. This apprenticeship program has helped Travis turn his life around and he has gained valuable experience and skills that will continue to change his life for the better.
