Beginning his career at Raybestos Powertrain, Dillon worked as a feeder operator in the saturation department. Shortly after, he was given the opportunity to become a tool and die apprentice. Seeing this as an opportunity he could make a career out of, he jumped at the opportunity, competing with several other candidates and eventually being selected for the apprenticeship program. The apprenticeship program has changed Dillon’s life in many ways. He has discovered a love for metalworking and has gained confidence in himself and his work through his accomplishments in the program. Learning from skilled instructors and journeymen has resulted in dedication to learning the tricks of the trade and a goal to someday pass down as much information and skills as he can to the next generation.

Throughout his time as an apprentice, Dillon has taken great pride in challenging himself to go above and beyond the standard of work that is expected of him. He has learned many valuable lessons and established himself as a hard worker with a positive attitude toward challenges. His passion for learning and contributing to the manufacturing industry is clear in his continued commitment to his tool and die education and work.

In the future, Dillon hopes to complete his apprenticeship and begin a career in the tool and die field. He also hopes to pass on his knowledge and support the next generation of apprentices. Dillon’s decision to invest in himself and his career has set him and his family up for a better future and will pave the way for him to give himself and his family a better life.
