Caitlin Davis, Apprenticeship Specialist, Virginia Manufacturers Association
Caitlin is currently working on the Expanding Registered Apprenticeship Programs Contract with the U.S. Department of Labor. She has worked in work-based learning for more than 10 years in universities, school systems, private industry and state agencies. She has a passion for creating apprenticeship opportunities across the country and comes from a family in which two members were apprentices as pathways to their current careers. She loves working to build and strengthen apprenticeship programs and looks forward to being able to speak about the process and purpose of utilizing this model!
Dawnn Moore, Project Manager, Virginia Manufacturers Association
Dawnn has more than 20 years of experience in workforce development. She serves as the project manager for the Virginia Manufacturers Association, currently working on the Expanding Registered Apprenticeship Programs Contract with the U.S. Department of Labor. As a Career and Technical Dean and Department Chair, Dawnn collaborated with local industry to build industry training and degree programs that help build workforce skills and innovation. Through her nonprofit work, she developed Registered Apprenticeship programs, industry certifications, and a community workspace for micro-manufacturing and makers. Dawnn believes a strong economy and workforce start with a structured and invigorating training program that gives workers the opportunity to choose their path.
