The Human Resource and Training Professionals Roundtable offers an invaluable opportunity to network with industry peers and participate in roundtable discussions on key challenging human resource and training-related topics. Day one will focus on compliance and general HR topics while day two will feature creating a human-centric HR approach.

This must-attend event is ideal for all training and human resource directors, managers and generalists.

The roundtable will be hybrid with an in-person or virtual registration option. Choose the one that works best for you.

A divided Congress has disrupted President Biden’s legislative agenda as he looks to increase regulatory activity. PMA’s lobbyist in Washington, D.C., Omar S. Nashashibi with The Franklin Partnership, will provide his insights into what regulators at the Department of Labor have in store for manufacturers and employers. From OSHA mechanical power press and lockout/tagout rules to overtime threshold increases and employee classifications, 2023 is shaping up as a busy year for regulators, not just in Washington, D.C., but in capitals across the country. This session will help your business anticipate, adapt and preempt the impact of many of these workplace changes expected in the coming year. *Virtual presentation.

Judy Judy Bodenhamer is passionate about creating customized professional development experiences for businesses. Judy is an entrepreneur, business executive, coach, mentor, innovator and community volunteer. She has committed her career to helping businesses and individuals achieve accelerated levels of success. Her engagements involve the innovative delivery of business consulting, executive coaching, organizational development consulting, sales and marketing programs, strategic planning, training and leadership development initiatives with those organizations and/or individuals who want to positively impact their performance and skills.

Her business leadership experience spans more than 25 years, of which Judy spent half of her career at Fortune 50 organizations, where her last assignment was area vice president, leading a $200M division, with well over 100 employees.

Catherine Burgett, Partner, Frost Brown Todd LLP
CatherineCatherine Burgett has represented companies in federal and state courts and before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Ohio Civil Rights Commission and the National Labor Relations Board, among others. She also spends significant time advising clients on the many day-to-day issues that arise with employees, and enjoys helping them successfully navigate the often-turbulent waters of human resources.

Catherine is a regular speaker on labor and employment and human resources topics, including discrimination and harassment issues, the Family Medical Leave Act, wage and hour laws, the National Labor Relations Act, public records requests, and best employment practices. She also provides ongoing education and training to many clients, which allows employers and their staff to identify and address human resources concerns with confidence.

Brian Feliciano, Vice President, Business Development, Oswald Companies
Brian Brian Feliciano has more than 25 years of sales and service experience. He specializes in consulting, strategizing, educating and implementing sustainable group health plans. Brian started his career as a Medicare consultant and was intricate with reviewing all options and cost-effective solutions for seniors and employer groups with seniors. Brian holds designations as a Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC), Consumer Benefits Consultant, and is Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act certified.

Jason Henkel, Founder & Chief Balance Engineer, Focus to Evolve
Jason Jason Henkel is a personal and organizational productivity expert who is deeply passionate about helping people find spacious productivity in work and life. He has been called by the U.S. Navy SEALs ‘the productivity whisperer’ and personally advises that he has the answer to finally ending the reign of the email monster that tends to own too much of our time and energy.

Over the past 12 years, he’s trained tens of thousands of individuals and groups in some of the world’s largest and most productive firms including Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Wells Fargo, American Greetings, AkzoNobel and even the trainers of the Dale Carnegie company and many more.

Laura Helmrich-Rhodes, Owner, Safety Geeks
Laura Dr. Laura Helmrich-Rhodes, CSP is a Board-Certified Safety Professional in comprehensive practice. She holds a bachelor’s degree in safety sciences, master’s degree in industrial and labor relations and a doctorate in higher education where her research and dissertation focused on the intersection of safety and human resources. Dr. Rhodes is a full-time, tenured faculty member at Indiana University of PA Safety Sciences Department, the first accredited academic safety program in the U.S. In addition, she has decades of experience ranging from insurance loss control, PA/OSHA Consultation, OSHA voluntary authorization instructor, private practice and is an engaging teacher/public speaker. Her primary focus for the last, approximately, eight years has been in the metal manufacturing sector. Laura’s other passions include civic leadership, outdoor fun, family and church events. 

Drew Magyar, Employee Benefits Advisor, Oswald Companies 
DrewDrew Magyar is a sales associate and risk advisor at Oswald Companies, specializing in the manufacturing and transportation industries. He focuses on innovative ways to mitigate health care spend for employers while enhancing the employee experience when it comes to their personal health care.

Drew is a graduate of Ohio University where he obtained bachelor’s degrees in finance and business analytics as well as captained its Division One hockey team for two years. He currently is pursuing his Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) designation through the National Association of Health Underwriters and is a member of the Cleveland Professional Twenty-Thirty Club. Prior to joining Oswald, Drew was a sales executive in the Ralph and Luci Schey Sales Center.

Omar Nashashibi, Partner, The Franklin Partnership, LLC
Omar Omar Nashashibi is a founding partner of The Franklin Partnership, LLC, the bipartisan Washington, D.C.-based government relations firm that represents PMA’s interests before Congress and the Administration.

Omar has more than 20 years of experience working with policymakers, politicians and the media. Prior to The Franklin Partnership, Omar worked for the Office of Management and Budget. Earlier in his career, he served as a research assistant at the Institute for Public Accuracy, promoting policy to the media. In 1995, he began his career in Washington, D.C. covering congressional and agency hearings for a nationwide nonprofit publication.

ConniePrior to joining PMA in May 2022, Connie served as the director of professional development for Baldwin Wallace University, where she created and delivered original, competency-based learning programs for external organizations and university employees. Connie also previously worked for the University of Akron as a manager of business solutions, where she developed and implemented internal and external organizational development programs, and created community, industry-based consortiums for assessing and satisfying skills demands. She has more than 20 years of experience in learning and development, and is passionate about the future of our workforce.
