Michael Romine is an ambitious young engineer working toward a degree in Electro-mechanical Engineering. Michael’s interest in manufacturing and engineering came from his love for building, fixing and understanding how machines work. He is currently pursuing this interest through his position at Automatic Feed, a Nidec Press and Automation Company, where he started as an electrical controls engineering intern. Upon completing his associates degree, Michael was hired as a full-time electrical engineer. In this position, he had the opportunity to work on coil line and stacker automation machinery, work in both the field and office, and visit multiple plants to assist with installations and upgrades. Michael is looking forward to developing his experience further and is particularly interested in getting more hands-on experience with manufacturing software.Currently, Michael attends Northwest State Community College where he is studying Electro-mechanical Engineering. Next year, he will be transferring to Miami University to finish his bachelor’s degree and continue working toward his goal of becoming an engineer. He hopes to continue learning about programming, CAD work and field work. Michael’s dedication to his education while working full time is a reflection of his passion for engineering and his dedication to his career.
