Shawn Vislosky is a dedicated and passionate musical instrument repairman. He began repairing musical instruments when he was sixteen and quickly developed a passion for it, learning a lot about hard work and commitment to quality. While working in a company that valued hard work and quality repairs, Shawn learned that the work you put into your job and the results will become your reputation. This was a valuable lesson that Shawn took with him through his trade program and a lesson that inspired his next two positions in musical instrument repair. While completing his musical instrument repair trade program, Shawn was introduced to machining and educated on the use of the lathe and how it could be used to make tools and fabricate replacement pieces. Shawn learned the importance of making custom tools and was able to make replacement parts for vintage instruments.

While Shawn is passionate about repairing musical instruments, he is looking for a position to help him support his family and has begun working toward a career in manufacturing. He will be attending Lorain County Community College to study Computer Aided Machining. With his past experience in instrument repair, he has experience working with machining and looks forward to learning even more as he works toward his degree. One day, Shawn hopes to pivot back to music and instrument repair, focusing on custom mouthpiece manufacturing.

Shawn has over a decade of experience working with machining and repair, exhibiting a dedication to his craft, experience and industry. His strong work ethic and commitment to quality work will help him as he seeks a career in manufacturing!
