Andrew Carrasco is a dedicated and enthusiastic manufacturer with more than four years of experience in the industry. From a young age, Andrew has had a passion for learning how things work and has pursued this interest through disassembling household gadgets and researching complex robotics. This interest in technology and innovation led him to pursue a career in engineering.
Starting his engineering career over four years ago, Andrew has had the opportunity to hold several positions in robotics and automation. He has worked and learned under highly skilled engineers and technicians, learning invaluable skills and getting hands-on experience with the latest manufacturing technology. Andrew’s time working in the manufacturing industry so far has deepened his appreciation for the field and given him the skills and experience necessary for moving forward in his career and manufacturing education.

In addition to gaining valuable work experience, Andrew has participated in several manufacturing competitions and events. As winner of the Illinois SkillsUSA Mechatronics competition, Andrew had the opportunity to represent Illinois at a national level. He also had the opportunity to represent Metallic Scholars at the IMTS Trade Show where he delivered a presentation to over 10,000 students. These additional achievements highlight his commitment to developing his technical skills and his commitment to the manufacturing field.

In the future, Andrew hopes to become an engineer. He is excited to develop his knowledge and understand the complexities of technology and work to create innovative solutions that make a difference in the community. His past achievements have helped him create a strong foundation for his future aspirations and his continued dedication to his future and the manufacturing industry are inspiring.
