Andrew Martin is a hard-working and highly motivated student working toward a career in manufacturing. Passionate about STEM fields and manufacturing, Andrew has volunteered his time working with local high school students as a science fair judge and gained work experience as a front-end worker at Mariano’s and a maintenance engineer at Menasha Packaging Company.

Continuing his work toward a career in manufacturing, Andrew enrolled in training at Moraine Valley Community College to become an industrial maintenance technician, earning certificates in electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, shielded metal arc welding and oxy-acetylene cutting. He studied under skilled industry professionals and excelled academically before transferring to Purdue University Northwest where he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering Technology.

Through hard work and excellent academic achievement, Andrew has learned countless skills and continues to develop through practical application in the classroom and in the field. Currently, Andrew works as an engineering intern in research and development at Manasha Packaging Company where he is learning more about manufacturing from industry professionals and putting his education and experience to use. He is also learning to use CAD software and shows a continued dedication to expanding his experience and expertise.

Andrew looks forward to a career in manufacturing and is excited to keep learning more, whether that be designing and machining parts, automating manufacturing processes or creating custom equipment. His passion for the manufacturing industry and his dedication to his career reflects in his motivation as he pursues his career and finishes his education.
