Omar Nashashibi, founding partner of The Franklin Partnership, PMA's lobbying firm in Washington, D.C., provides an update on the latest legislative and regulatory actions affecting HR professionals in the metalforming industry. The administration not only is changing the rules of Washington, they are changing the regulations that cover every employer in the United States. This is your chance to get ahead of the curve and hear directly from a Washington insider on the latest from the Department of Labor, including OSHA, the U.S. EPA and other federal regulators.

Omar Nashashibi is a founding partner of The Franklin Partnership, LLC, the bipartisan Washington, D.C.-based government relations firm that represents PMA’s interests before Congress and the Administration. Omar has nearly 20 years of experience working with policymakers, politicians and the media. Prior to The Franklin Partnership, Omar worked for the Office of Management and Budget. Earlier in his career, he served as a research assistant at the Institute for Public Accuracy, promoting policy to the media. In 1995, he began his career in Washington, D.C. covering congressional and agency hearings for a nationwide nonprofit publication. 

Filling the Skills Gap
Erin Riffle from PMA will talk about the latest PMA initiative, METALFORM EDU, as well as PMA’s other workforce development offerings.

METALFORM EDU is the online learning program for the metalforming industry, featuring PMA-exclusive content for metalforming and more than 550 training courses in interpersonal, business, and manufacturing subject areas. PMA also offers Management Development Academy (MDA), technical seminars, customized in-plant training, webinars, and more.

Learn how to start building your talent pipeline to engage and retain top talent. Erin will give a demonstration of METALFORM EDU courses, discuss how to implement training in your company, and answer questions.

Erin Riffle is the workforce development and METALFORM EDU lead at the Precision Metalforming Association. Previously, she worked with the PMA Educational Foundation as a development associate. Erin has a Master's degree in nonprofit administration and has a passion for education and training.
